Sachiin Joshi to star in the Telugu remake of Aashiqui 2

Last year’s sleeper hit Aashiqui 2 is all set to be remade in Telugu by eminent South Indian producer Bandla Ganesh. And starring in the lead role will be Bollywood actor Sachiin Joshi. Sachiin himself is no stranger to Telugu cinema having acted in three Telugu movies namely Mounamelanoyi, Orey Pandu and Ninu Chudaka Nenundalenu. Sources close to Bandla Ganesh reveal that the producer is highly impressed with Sachiin’s passion for cinema, hard work, perseverance, killer attitude, fire in his belly to prove himself and thinks he is the best person to essay the lead role in its Telugu remake. An overwhelmed Sachiin couldn’t thank Bandla Ganesh enough. “Thanks to Bandla Ganesh for offering me Aashiqui 2 remake in Telugu. You are a true friend,” wrote Sachiin on Twitter. When contacted Sachiin further elaborated, “I am very excited about Aashiqui 2 as it was the biggest rage among youth, last year. With the ongoing trend of Bollywood remaking big south movies, I want to try the same with the biggest Bollywood film in Telugu.” It remains to be seen if the Telugu version will be able to emulate the success of its Hindi original. The yet unnamed remake will also be co produced by Sachiin under his banner Viking Media Production.
