Sahara One's programming is in for a chiselled look! The channel's cut the flab, and is now trying to don a new avatar, with its big ticket reality show, Biggest Loser Jeetega. To be aired in May, the show will showcase the lives of 16 obese contestants and their journey to fitness. The contestants have been put up in the sprawling locales of Amby Valley (Lonavala) where they will sweat it out under the guidance of a group of trainers. The format of Biggest Loser…, which is being produced by Star Entertainment Pvt Ltd, is such that the one who loses the most weight is the winner. Elaborating further producer Rahul Aggarwal said, "This show has its successful run in more than 22 nations. I think at this point we are ready for a show like this in India. Losing weight is always a struggle for obese people. Our aim is to not just to make the show entertaining but also educational and inspiring." Bollywood's macho man Suniel Shetty, an ardent fitness freak, is hosting the show. Commenting on the format of the show, he said, "All my life I have been passionate about fitness. This is one reality show which is very close to my heart and moves away from the bahus and betis. I strongly believe being healthy is about being beautiful. We've found the most endearing 16 contestants who share their lives with us. Even if we can inspire a few people in the country to lead healthy lives, we would have done our task. I think the show is all about fitness and discipline." Along with Suniel, Andrew Leipus, who has trained our Indian cricket team in the past has been roped in as the health and fitness director. He will stationed at Amby valley to help the contestants gain healthier and rejuvenated bodies. Throwing further light on the show, Seemanto Roy, Head Entertainment Business, said, "It was when Suniel and Rahul Aggarwal approached me for this show that I watched the international season of the Biggest Loser back to back. So motivated I was that I started working out the very next day. Since then I've lost more than 27 kgs and it has completely changed my life." And how different will the lives of the 16 contestants be post this reality show is something to watch out for!
