Uma Maheshwari was found dead, hanging at her home. During the investigation, the police found out that t could be a case of suicide. The reason behind her suicide is unknown but allegedly died by suicide as she faced health issues.
She is the daughter of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. Police confirm that the incident took place on Monday afternoon at her home. She allegedly died by suicide. She is survived by her daughter Dikshitha and according to her, Uma went to her room at 12 noon and didn’t come out for a long time.
Dikshitha informed the police around half past two and they rushed to the residence in Jubilee Hills. They found Uma to be hanging in her room, from the ceiling fan. There were four people in the house when the incident took place and a case has been registered under section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Police to enquire and report on suicide, etc.) at Jubilee Hills police station.
Many celebrities rushed to the house hearing the sad news, including N Chandrababu Naidu and Nandakumari Kalyan Ram. Youngest among 12 children of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) founder, she is survived by two daughters.
