MUMBAI : Sony TV’s new show named Jagannath Aur Purvi Ki Dosti Anokhi is based on an old couple Jagannath and Kusum Mishra and a girl named Purvi Singh.

Viren's grandson Mohit loots him by stealing his ATM card.
This leaves a deep impact on Jagannath and he fears being looted the same way by Purvi.
Blinded by this fear, Jagannath asks Purvi to leave the house.
However, she refuses to leave before her marriage and pleads to let her stay for 21 days.
Later, while Jagannath is thinking about ways to throw Purvi out of the house, Kusum is seen walking with money.
Jagannath is shocked to know that Purvi paid her the rent for her stay.
