MUMBAI: Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has become the longest-running show on TV right now. Sirat and Kartik's Jodi is the most adored onscreen duo at present.

Currently, in the show, the Goenka ladies are busy with the preparations for Ganesh Chaturthi. Kairav and Vansh wish to skip school for the celebrations but Sirat and Gayu send them to school. While Sirat makes the idol, Kairav and Vansh return home before school ends. Sirat asks them for the reason for coming home early, to which they bluff that they had a half-day at school. Sirat gets suspicious about it but Kartik assures they won't lie. 

Sirat gets a call from the teacher and comes to know the truth about Kairav and Vansh's half-day, Sirat confronts them and punishes the kids. At this step, Surekha taunts her and calls her the heartless stepmother. Sirat shuts her for this and makes it clear that she has all the rights over her child's upbringing. 

Previously, Kairav keeps trying to apologise to Sirat, but she ignores him for his betterment. Kartik makes him understand his mistake and asks him to apologise to Sirat with all his heart and see. 

Kairav breaks down in front of Ganpati Ji and asks for an apology, Sirat finally forgives him and gives him a tight hug. Looking at this the family members applaud her for making the right decision for the kids and call her a good mother. This irks Surekha as they taunt her for the words she used earlier. 

In the upcoming episode, a guest comes to their place and reveals how their new daughter-in-law ignored her grandson after she gave birth to her own and made him feel worse than a step-child, listening to this Surekha instigates the same fear in the family members that what if Sirat gets pregnant, will she ignore Kairav and Akshu for the new child? 

Sirat overhears the conversation and feels dejected. She avoids revealing the news that she is actually pregnant due to Surekha's harsh words.
