One has seen her in umpteen roles on the tube. Be it Piya Ka Ghar, CID, Amanat, Kora Kagaz, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii……telly actress Smita Bansal has always come across as an endearing character by the sheer dint of her dramatics. She's currently displaying her histrionics in Sony's Jeete Hain Jiske Liye (which will be going off air soon) and Star's Viraasat.
In a t?te-?-t?te with Prashant Golecha, this lady with a radiant smile gets talking about her professional and personal life.

She is the new kid on the block. Daljit Kaur is the cute and smart girl next door who seems to have a good screen presence as well, which we sensed at the launch of Sony's new baby Kulvaddhu. Produced by Anuj Saxena's Maverick Productions, the big ticket show is being slotted in the 8.30 pm band. This army officer's daughter has won many beauty pageants before she thought of taking up acting as a career seriously. And lady luck came her way when the channel bigwigs spotted her in a Sony show and decided to cast her as the lead in Kulvaddhu.
Kavita Shyam caught up with the leading lady.

Haven't we heard of a nuclear scientist becoming the President of India (Dr P J Abdul Kalam), mechanical engineer going on to become a chef-cum restauranteur (Rahul Akerkar of Indigo) and computer engineer making it big in Bollywood as asinger and music composer (Shankar Mahadevan). It is quite common for ingenious and resourceful people to realize their calling after pandering to their impulses in a series of diverse vocations.
