Gagan Malik, better known as Ram in Moti Sagar Productions’Ramayan, is being appreciated for his work by one and all in Sri Lanka. Yes, you heard it right!! The actor’s Godly avatar in the Zee TV show is being accepted in foreign countries too. But, the appreciation that the actor has received in Sri Lanka is for his Sri Lankan film <em>Sri Siddhartha Gautama</em>.

Sagar Pictures’ <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/malhar-pandya-enter-ramayan>Ramayan</a> that’s being simulcast on Zee TV and DD National seems to have failed to garner the much needed TRPs. Hence, we are wondering if the show will have an early end in June 2013 as reported by certain sections of the media. However, the cast of the show thinks otherwise.

But soon the viewers will get to see Ram and Bharat (Nishant Kumar) competing to be the successor of their kingdom.

With Moti Sagar Productions bringing <em>Ramayan</em> back to our living rooms, comparisons were bound to happen between Arun Govil and <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/interviews/i-am-not-bothered-controversies-have-already-got-my-sita-gagan-malik>Gagan Malik</a> who presently essays the role of Ram in <em><a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/cast-and-crew-ramayan-turn-vegetarians>Ramayan</a></em>, aired on Zee TV.

Out sources have informed that everyone on the sets of <em>Ramayan</em>, the cast and crew, have shunned non-vegetarian food and become vegans. All for the love of God and to get the feel of the show and characters.

Rucha Gujarathi, who was last seen in Sony Entertainment Television’s Saas Bina Sasural, will be seen entering Zee TV’s Ramayan (produced by Sagar Pictures). The actress will be seen as Ahilya. She will be Gautam Rishimuni’s (saint) wife. As per a reliable source, Ahilya will be cursed for allowing a stranger to enter the house, who apparently would have looks similar to that of her husband, Gautam. The man will be in the house and Gautam will enter. Out of anger, he will spell a curse which will turn Ahiliya into a statue.

The search for Ram and Sita for Zee TV's Ramayan has been on for quite some time now with big names like Aamir Dalvi, Gagan Malik, Avinash Sachdev, Neha Sargam, Divyanka Tripathi, amongst others, being in the reckoning. We now hear that Channel Zee find, Binny Sharma who enthralled one and all with her dancing skills in Dance India Dance and then diversified her talent as the lead in Zee TV's Sanjog Se Bani Sangini has been short listed to essay the role of Sita.

Produced by Navin Gooneratne, the movie will show the journey of Gautam Buddha from his age of eighteen to his thirty sixth year, i.e. till the time he attained enlightenment. Noted Director Chandram Ratnam has directed the movie.

Navya and Anant’s college days are over and they are now all set to enter their professional lives. However, the latest news that is flowing in from the sets of Swastik Pictures’ <em><a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/navya-enter-new-phase-her-life>Navya</em></em> is that <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/gagan-malik-gets-his-big-break>Gagan Malik</a> has been roped in to play the role of Navya’s boss in the show. It’s a cameo which will last for two months.
