Javed Akhtar
Looks like our TV serials are now inspiring the likes of Javed Akhtar. The National award-winning, acclaimed lyricist took time off to launch the Star Plus show Chaand Chupa Baadal Mein (starting on Star Plus on June 28) for which he has also lent his voice to its on-air promotion.
He said he wanted to associate himself with the show because of its ‘Hindustaniyyat’. The serial set in Simla is steeped in Indian values and the cultural traditions of India.

The show is titled Mission Ustaad but its primary mission isn't to unearth the next singing sensation(s) but to create social awareness.
Back in 2000, the Indian government had pledged to eradicate poverty, illiteracy, child mortality by the year 2015. The United Nations had bracketed such problems under the 8 Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). Seven years have passed and the nation hasn't even reached halfway in realising these goals.

Is the race to select Indian Idol 3 getting a little bitter? The elimination of Chang on Saturday had many growling faces on this singing reality show and with Alisha threatening to walk out proved to be the real high point of this drama.
Online communities have gone crazy protesting against the exit of this popular Chinese dentist. Poor Ankita and Prashant have become the butt of this cyber anger. Now, we have only four contestants in the tussle. So, who will be the next Bharat ki Shaan?
