The competition among TV channels is getting stiffer by the day. As per the latest TAM data for the week gone by, SAB the comedy channel starts seems to have laughed its way as it brushes shoulders with NDTV Imagine. Sample this: SAB has achieved 85 GRPs, with Imagine at 86. SAB has five slots in the top 100 and Imagine has none.

There’s an all new ‘family’ which is about to be ‘framed’ on <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/snippets/look-who-s-throwing-attitude>SAB TV </a> . Just chill! There’s no controversy here but we’re just talking about an upcoming show on SAB. Tentatively titled as <em>Family Album</em>, this Optimystix-produced daily is slated to come on SAB soon. Actors Sumeet Raghvan., Sukirti Kandpal, Apara Mehta and Tiku Talsania are all part of this family.

After launching a show on the works of the literary giant (<a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/neela/taarak-mehtathe-new-challenge>Taarak Mehta ka ooltah chashmah</a>)SAB TV is now contemplating to honour another legendary writer – the late Sharad Joshi. The channel is in advanced talks with noted writer, director and producer Ashvini Dheer to produce a daily that is based on Joshi’s writings.

The rumour mills are churning out tales of two love stories on SAB. The love birds in question are the lead pair of SAB shows <em> Lo ho gayi Pooja is ghar ki and Jugni Chali Jalandhar</em>. While Sana Saeed is said to be smitten by her<em> Lo ho gayi Pooja..</em> colleague Amit Dolawat, ‘’Jugni’ Muskaan Mehani seems to have founds a real liking for Karan Godwan, who plays her love interest in the show.

It's learnt that <em> Left Right Left</em> on SAB will see some changes, rather replacements in the cast. Or so says our informer, according to whom the unit is fed of putting up with the tantrums of Vikas Manektala aka Hooda. The search is on for a guy with a good physique to suit the character.

SAB, the <em>`Only Smiles, No Tears'</em> entertainment channel' is back in action with a host of comedies which will keep the viewers glued to their TV sets through the week. The channel has brought in four fresh comedy shows titled - <em>Ji Behenji, Ishq Ki Ghanti, Party</em> and <em>FIR</em>, besides a new season of <em>Yes Boss</em>. The weeklies which go on air from 24 July will help strengthen the 8.30 time slot, from Monday-Friday for the channel.

She has done it all from hosting shows (<em>Chalti Ka Naam Antakshari</em>) to acting to theatre… And now Shruti Ulfat is all set to play the romantic lead opposite Vinod Sherawat in a film called <em>Gafla</em> by Sameer Hanchate (of Metropolis Multimedia who has assisted Subhash Ghai and Vidhu Vinod Chopra). The film is based on the Harshad Mehta scam and Shruti is playing the main lead as a journalist in the film which will also stars Poorva Parag and Vikram Gokhale.
