Navneet Nishan to play grandmom

One of Indian television's first faces Navneet Nishan, who rose to fame with the show <em>Tara,</em> is making a comeback to t he small screen. She returns with Maverick production's weekly comedy show <em> Gupshup Coffee Shop</em> on SAB TV from 6 th December. For the first time she'll be playing a grandmom's role. Elaborating on her character she says, "I'm playing the role of a grandmother (Mrs.Parmilla Dhariwal). Sudhir Pandey plays my husband. She's not your typical television granny. She's very naughty and a spendthrift. She always derives means to achieve the ends."

Enter Amita Nagia as Mrs.Telgi now

One has seen her in Kitty parties, in fancy costumes but never in a burkha. Noted TV actress Amita Nagia of <em>Tara</em> fame puts on the veil in her upcoming film <em> Mudrank,</em>. An ecstatic Amita says "I have done comedy, family drama, negative acts but I've never portrayed a Muslim girl. I was always keen on playing such a role and finally my wish is granted. I'm doing a film called <em> Mudrank </em> which is based on the multi crore fake stamp paper scam. I get to play the prime convict Abdul Karim Telgi's wife."

Chandana Sharma is back with two shows.

Chandana Sharma aka Tara of Star One's <em> Yeh Dil Chahe More</em> fame is all set to make a comeback on television after a long break. The vivacious actress, whose winning smile won many a hearts, has added two new shows to her kitty. "I did not quit TV but was on a break. Now, I am really excited about the news shows.. The first one is a comic love story for 9X and another show will have me as a host," reveals Chandana.

A college show for Sony!

If all goes well Sony will see its new show from Raman Kumar and Vinita Nanda's stable by March end. The show is touted to have a young theme revolving around the life of college students. For now the producers are pinning on either of the two names for the show <em> Jeene Ke Char Din or Tamana.</em> The makers are also on the look out for six new fresh faces for which they are auditioning collegians from across various acting schools and dramatic houses.
