Enter Amita Nagia as Mrs.Telgi now

One has seen her in Kitty parties, in fancy costumes but never in a burkha. Noted TV actress Amita Nagia of Tara fame puts on the veil in her upcoming film Mudrank,. An ecstatic Amita says "I have done comedy, family drama, negative acts but I've never portrayed a Muslim girl. I was always keen on playing such a role and finally my wish is granted. I'm doing a film called Mudrank which is based on the multi crore fake stamp paper scam. I get to play the prime convict Abdul Karim Telgi's wife." However, the film has run into troubled waters A subject such as this is bound to create ripples among the political and social luminaries. Apparently, the man himself, (Telgi) filed an application for a stay and it's been duly accepted by the honourable court. The stay order hasn't killed Amita's excitement a wee bit. "It's a controversial film and we expected such reactions. Initially, the film revolved around the life of Telgi. However, the stark reactions forced us to alter the track. Mudrank is now based on the scam and not just Telgi" says Amita. Were there any apprehensions in accepting such a controversial role? "No. I take this as a challenge. It's a short but a very important role. This film will show that Telgi's wife was never directly involved in the scam. I'm hoping that the film quickly releases" said the actress. While Amita eagerly awaits the release of her film, she is also currently dividing her time between five TV serials.
