Rajeev Khandelwal to join CID team

He was Star's heartthrob with <em>Kahiin To Hoga</em>, but couldn't really set the Zee fires ablaze with <em>Time Bomb</em>. Now, Rajeev Khandelwal, the nearest one could come to a phenomenon on Indian television, will join the <em>CID</em> team on Sony as ACP Prithviraj. Rajeev will take over the mantle of the senior cop from ACP Pradyuman, played by Shivaji Satam, who will be shown suspended from the police force in the next episode of <em>CID</em>. Pradyuman faces the axe, thanks to his son Nakul (Rahil Azam), who's been charged for being part of an international terrorist group.

Akashdeep hurt on Time Bomb sets

Reel action turned real on Zee's <em>Time Bomb</em> sets on Monday. Baddie Akashdeep Saigal, who plays the terrorist Usman in the weekly serial, crashed through a french window and suffered deep cuts on his head and hands, and had to be rushed to hospital.

Max mascot stars in Akashdeep's directorial debut film

5 year old Samir Khan is currently shooting the last leg of Akashdeep Saigal's debut film <em>Lotus Dreams</em>. The film, that's being shot in Mumbai, still has a week more of shooting left. Samir stars in the pivotal role of a chaiwala in the film that deals with the theme of child labour in the country.

Painful times for Rajeev!

Rajeev Khandelwal is sporting a new look, but there's a painful story behind the changed image! With an unshaven grungy look, Rajeev looks so much like the overworked Varun, that we thought that this is a case of the real imitating the reel. Not so! The handsome actor has just had his wisdom teeth removed, and since the stitches have not yet been removed, he hasn't been able to shave...hence the beard! Consequently, the star has been forced to miss 10 days of shoot for Zee's <em>Time Bomb</em> as a result of severe toothache.

Whirlpool mommy makes acting debut

Amrita Saluja, the pretty ex-Whirlpool model, will now play estranged wife to television's hearthrob Rajeev Khandelwal in Ketan Mehta's forthcoming opus on Zee, <em>Time Bomb</em>. The 24 episode series is a gripping saga that traverses the lives of several characters over just 24 hours. Amrita and Rajeev, (who sports a fresh attitude and a macho stubble) share just 10 to 15 scenes in the entire series.
