A 'Time Bomb' at the Emvies?

It was an evening to fete the best of the ad community, but we spotted enough TV stars to fill our diary as well. Indian Idol Abhijeet Sawant performing his new album is okay, but what does one surmise from the incessant plugging of Zee's new show Time Bomb at a advertising do? Among the star presenters called upon for every other award were Akashdeep Saigal and Amrita Saluja, who play Osama and a television journalist respectively in the Ketan Mehta creation. The two were obviously one of the star attractions of the evening, the audience being reminded with every award that the duo were the stars of the new show. But what surprised us was the absence of the hero of the show - Rajeev Khandelwal, at the function. If Time Bomb had to be plugged, shouldn't Rajeev have been part of the push? Or perhaps his absence had something to do with his brother's wedding in Jaipur? We are willing to give the Time Bomb hero the benefit of doubt on this one. But why was the show promoted so heavily at the Emvies? Your guess is as good as ours.
