MUMBAI: TellyChakkar.com is back with an interesting update from the world of television.

Apart from actors, directors and technicians, one department that works tirelessly for a show’s success is the Casting team. TellyChakkar.com got in touch with ace casting director Abhishek Gupta. In a candid chat with us, Abhishek spoke about his upcoming project.

He said, “I’ve joined Rivika Films. We are coming up with a new show titled Daaman Mitti Ka for DD Kissan. The show will premiere on the 8th of February and air from Monday to Friday at 9:30 pm. I’m not only the Casting Director for the project but also on set Creative. I’m quite happy and thrilled to work for this project post lockdown. The interesting factor is that we had shot for a pilot of this show around five years back and the show is going on-floors now. I was with the team when they shot the pilot and now, I’m working here when the show has gone on the floor. It feels like we have come full circle.”

Speaking about his future goals, he said, “Everyone who knows me knows the fact that I am determined to launch my own production house.”
