5 things we LIKED about Ek Tha Chander Ek Thi Sudha

Ek Tha Chander Ek Thi Sudha

When a classic is adapted on the silver screen, we have immense expectations from it. If it happens to be a cult classic like Gunahon Ka Devta, then the anticipation goes to an all new level. Just like Life OK’s period drama Ek Tha Chander Ek Thi Sudha. You can trust us on the fact that this show will not leave you disappointed. From screenplay to acting to direction, everything is picture perfect.

Tellychakkar.com gives you five reasons on why we like the show…read on:

Classic love story

Dharamvir Bharati’s legendary work is perhaps one of the most treasured pieces of art in Hindi literature. The iconic novel depicts a beautiful love story between Chander and Sudha. Right from the very first episode we are hooked onto the story. We are pretty sure that it would prove to be a worth-watch.

Rahil Azzam

It is indeed difficult for an actor to pick the perfect mannerism of the character set in the backdrop of post-independent India. And everyone in the cast perfectly does that. But one person, who seems to steal the show, is Rahil Azzam. No one can doubt Rahill’s acting prowess and he is at his best in this role.

Finite series

We have many screen adaptations of literary works, but what spoilt their charm was the long and stretchy drama. But the decision of ending the entire series within twenty episodes will surely keep the spirit of the novel alive.

Set design

Set in the backdrop of the late 1940s, the show beautifully recreates the era gone by. Kudos to the entire team behind the camera. They have wonderfully designed the set and have perfectly created the post-independence environment.

Smart narration

The way the daily is being narrated is like a breath of fresh air. Instead of directly introducing the characters, the ailing Sudha, remembering Chander with every word, is surely a smart, refreshing move from the director’s side. It wins a thumbs up from our end.

On the whole, the mini-series is a must watch for all those who love interesting stuff. Let us know whether you liked it or not!
