Bengali actors talk about #GaneshChaturthi

The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated in the honour of Lord Ganesha. The cute God is loved and worshiped by his devotees all over the world. Tellychakkar.com chatted with a few Bengali actors who expressed their feelings about the occasion. Read on.

Debottam Majumder: Ganesh is the sweetest God I found in my childhood. Ganesh Chaturthi is gaining popularity in Bengal also, which means one more puja and one more occasion to celebrate. It is the grandest celebration in Mumbai. During this occasion, in Mumbai, giant laddus are kept on the hands of tall Ganesh idols. I wish to taste that laddu once. Wish you all a very happy Ganesh Chaturthi!

Tonni Laha Roy: To be honest, I don’t observe Ganesh Chaturthi puja. However, I love to watch the puja of the Lord. Just the way we celebrate Durga puja in a grand manner here in Bengal, Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated in the same way in Mumbai. I once got the opportunity of staying in Mumbai during this occasion. Every year, I eagerly wait for the prashad of Ganesh: I just wait to gorge on the delicious laddu. Everyone, have fun, enjoy the occasion and remember not to eat the laddu before offering to our cute Ganesha.

Kunal Banerjee: Lord Ganesha is worshiped first before any puja. So, whenever Ganesh Chaturthi comes, it feels the festival of Durga Puja is not far away. Ganesh puja marks the beginning of Bengali’s puja festival and Kali puja marks its end. This year I might not stay here (Kolkata) during Ganesh Chaturthi owning to my outdoor shooting but I must say that this festival fills my heart with the feelings of Durga puja. Bappa Moraya!

Mishmee Das: Well, I am not very religious. I believe there’s only one God but I don’t have a problem with other people’s beliefs. I wish all my fans a very happy Ganesh Chaturthi. I hope Lord Ganesh brings prosperity in their lives as they say it!

Shaurja Bhattacharyya: I believe there is an eternal power in the universe and I believe that eternal power is God. It means everything to me. I pray, I wish and I tell him all my problems. And you won’t believe he listens to me. I am very spiritual. So, I love all the festivals of all the religions. I believe God is one and there is no discrimination.

Happy Ganesh Chaturthi guys!!!
