Durga Puja celebration with Bong TV stars

Subho Durga Puja to all our Bong readers!!!

The time of the year has already arrived when all the Bongs dress up in their best attire, spend time with family and start visiting pandals to seek blessing from Goddess Durga.

And our television stars are no exceptions when it comes to tasting such happiness in life. On the auspicious occasion, we buzzed few of our beloved small screen stars to know what they are up to for this year’s Puja. And here is what they said.

When we called Ishita Ganguly, the lady shared, “This is the first time that I will be celebrating Puja in Mumbai and I cannot explain in words how much I am missing Kolkata. Moreover, at my nana ji’s place we observe Durga Puja every year, with all the cousins and relatives. Hence, I feel like missing out on all the fun. And of course, without mentioning I am craving for non-veg delicacies, especially fish preparations. Keeping all the sadness apart, I went to Shyamashish Bhattacharya’s (Shakuntalam Telefilms) Puja and spent some time there, which at least to some extent gave me a homely feel.”

Quite similar was the condition of another Bong beauty, Shritama Mukherjee, who was busy with her shoot. She quickly averred to our call, “I am just too busy to enjoy Puja. I went to a Puja pandal in Lokhandwala to pray to Durga maa. The only relaxation is that for the special occasion, I have bought few new clothes; I can do nothing more this time.”

Next we dialled Pratyusha Banerjee, “I went to Bangur Nagar Kali Bari along with beau Rahul to observe Puja. After that we had kosha mangsho (chicken curry) and other Bengali dishes. What else can you ask for during Durga Puja to a Bong”, quipped the young lady who is much in love.

The special occasion of Durga Puja, we heard, became more special for the Roy brothers this time. As we spoke to Rohit Roy, the younger brother shared the reason with us. “Every year Nabami is a special affair for us, but this time Ador (Ronit’s daughter) took part in Kumari Puja at the Versova Durga Puja.”

On the other hand, super busy Mouni Roy commented, “With Naagin’s shoot going on in full swing, I am hardly finding much time to celebrate. Whatever free time I am getting, I am spending it with my mother. So this time Puja for me is all about family time.”

Finally, when we contacted Ashiesh Roy, the veteran man was busy enjoying community bhog (Food offered to goddess durga) at Juhu. “I am currently busy having bhog at the Puja pandal and I am just enjoying the festive season as much as I can.”

With the festive season coming to an end, we wish all our beloved readers Subho Bijoya!
