#EidMubarak: TV celebs talk about celebrating #BloodlessEid

Before beginning the article we would like to wish all our readers Eid Mubarak. The festival brings with it lots of happiness and cheerful memories.

Also with the celebration including sacrificing an animal, things today seemed to have changed. Many today believe in having a blood less Eid and helping the needy with the same amount.

Sharing the same idea, Sana Khan, who was in a celebration mood since the day shared, “Our family used to practice animal sacrifice, but now, we don’t engage into it. Rather we donate the money to Masjid and they use it for the benefit of the poor. I think the whole agenda of sacrificing came from giving up your fears and paying gratitude to Allah. That can be done by other means too.”

Echoing a similar thought Ruslaan Mumtaz stated, “I don’t believe in the concept of animal sacrifice. Personally I have never engaged into such practice and I don’t even allow my family members to slaughter animals at home.”

Another actor to hold such view is Ishita Ganguly, who said, “Be it Eid or Kali Puja, I believe that any kind of animal sacrifice should be kept away from spiritual occasions. I am well aware about the fact that these are part of religious rituals, but I think we can work out on a different ritual.”

Rehan Sayed, on his part shared, “If we need to sacrifice something, then let’s give our time by engaging into a noble deed. That can only bring us closer to Allah. Let’s not sacrifice animals, but rather let’s turn devotional towards the Lord.”

Finally when we turned to Roop Durgapal, the pretty face strongly opined, “Well, I believe in respecting and celebrating all religious fests equally. But as far the ‘bloodless’ fest is concerned, I feel equality should be here too. If people are willing to consume meat during the rest of the year, then what exactly is the point of avoiding it particularly on Eid or religious occasions? Being a non hypocrite vegetarian, I strongly believe that either all days should be bloodless days or else each has the right to practice their own customs”.

Quite thought provoking we have to say. Don’t you agree with their thoughts?
