TV stars take a PLEDGE this #WorldEnvironmentDay

In order to raise global awareness about the need to take positive action on environmental conditions,  5 June 5 is celebrated as World Environment Day. In conversation with Tellychakkar.com, TV stars take a pledge to make this world a better place to live. Take a look...

Vibhu K Raghave

I recently promised myself to reduce the usage of plastic in my life. In fact, now I carry one bag for all my purchases. At house parties, I don't keep disposable glasses and prefer the regular ones. I am working on reducing my carbon footprint size. And the other thing which I have implemented in my life is not wasting fresh water because we are facing a fresh water crisis in so many places worldwide! Also, I never litter.

Preetika Rao

I wish every citizen should pledge to keep the country clean.  Lack of cleanliness and sense of aesthetics is largely missing among us, in comparison to the natives of other countries.

Shivshakti Sachdev

I take a pledge that if I see anybody throwing anything on the roads, I would definitely stop them. I will keep my surroundings and environment clean.

Sayantani Ghosh

I pledge to conserve water and will make my family do the same as well.

Vrinda Dawda

I don't litter on the road and don't even let my friends and family do it. So from now on, if I see anyone littering on the road, I would politely ask them to throw the waste in a dustbin. I like greenery too, so I have planted 2-3 small pots at my place and make sure that I water it regularly.

Taher Mithaiwala

I had taken a pledge that I will not waste water, paper and electricity as they are valuable commodities.  On this day, I will not use my car and travel by public transport. I appreciate the awareness and would love to be a part of the campaign.
