Women's Day Special: TV Actresses Share Their Moment Of Pride

TV Actresses Share Their Moment Of Pride

Vanity and pride are different things, though the words are often used synonymously. A person may be proud without being vain. Pride relates more to our opinion of ourselves, vanity to what we would have others think of us.” - Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice

The above lines definitely states the idea on being a woman. Today on the occasion of Women’s Day, we spoke to popular TV actresses to know their moment of pride as a woman.

Tina Dutta

One day, I saw a girl being harassed by an auto rickshaw driver. I immediately got out of my car and gave him a piece of my mind. I am proud that I stood up for what was right.

Adaa Khan

Don’t want to mention any specific moments as I take pride in the very fact that I am a woman.

Delnaaz Irani

I take a lot of pride in the fact that I have always conducted myself with dignity, no matter what the circumstances were. We women are so strong, we can smile through our tears, too.

Rashami Desai

I felt proud when a fan wrote saying that my performance in Uttaran inspired her to fight her own battles. Also, someone once told me that I represent today’s young women, who know their mind and live life on their own terms.

Shivangi Verma

I believe it is a privilege to be born as a woman. We are vulnerable, yet strong. We can cry at the drop of a hat, but also be a tigress when the need arises. I take this occasion to salute women everywhere.

Rishina Kandhari

Once, during the shoot, a crew member came up to me and said, “Aap bahut acchi ho. I wish my daughter grows up to be like you.” I was overwhelmed and had tears in my eyes.

Roop Durgapal

My mom’s success fills me with pride. She is a self-made woman. I was also super thrilled when a college friend told me that my mom is her role model. If I can at least be a fraction of what she is, I will consider myself lucky.

Jaswir Kaur

My mother once said she wished she had three daughters like me. That was a very special moment.

Wow!! Aren’t they all really special moments? Which is your moment of pride? Share your views in the comment box below!
