Snigdha Akolkar of Sahara One's Hare Kaanch Ki Choodiya fame (as Shyamalee) has gotten lucky with a big banner film down South. The pretty actor is doing a big budget film as the lead actor opposite a biggie from Mollywood but refuses to divulge details about her current venture. " I cant reveal anything about the film yet. I begin shooting soon and by December it will be ready for release. For now I will be doing ad films, films down south, Hindi films and only if a very good offer for television comes my way I will take up the role," smiles Pune girl Snigdha who was also seen doing a bit role in Sony's Vaidehi. The actor also wants to spread out her wings and try her luck in Hindi films as well as regional films besides quality work on television. So here's one helluva superstitious actor who reveals nothing about her future plans and lets her work do the talking. Why can't Hiten play a normal husband? No, no, it has nothing to do with his would-be wifey Kishwer Merchant but it is his one-episodic character in the thriller Akela we are talking about. It appears as if Hiten Paintal is not satisfied with playing Anupam, a scrounger of a husband to Nivedita in Kasauti Zindagi Kay that he has gone ahead and shot for an episodic with Akela on Sony where he essays the role of a pushed-around husband Suyash who exchanges his domineering wife's soul with someone. For those uninitiated, Akela is a supernatural thrill in which the main protagonist, Ranvir can connect with life after death, that is he can actually talk to people who are nomore. Now, to throw light on the track, Hiten is Suyash who is not happy with his wife because she treats him badly. So he tries and exchanges her soul with someone and as things go wrong she tries to kill him. And to know how things get sorted out with the help of Ranvir (Sudhanshu Panddey) the serial is worth watching on Tuesday. As an afterthought, we wonder why Hiten can't play a normal husband for a change! Simone has a Bhram! It'sAfter playing the lead protagonist in Zee's Kashish we haven't seen much of Simone Singh on television lately. And that's because, of late, the pretty lady has been concentrating on her film career. Simone did a couple of remarkable projects and received rave reviews for her histrionics in Being Cyrus and of course, who can forget her Komila act in Karan Johar's Kal Ho Naa Ho. Now she's gearing up for another film titled Bhram produced by Magna Productions. Along with Simone, Bhram promises to have a rather interesting starcast with the likes of Milind Soman, Dino Moreo and Sheetal Menon. And that's not it; Simone has just wrapped up shooting for Delhi Heights for which she was shooting in Delhi with Rohit Roy. So for now, the actor keeps herself busy with Kosmic Chat and a host of films in her kitty. Way to go gal we say! Love thy neighbour as thyself It's not South Mumbai, Versova or Andheri Lokhandawala Complex, but somehow Malad is proving to be the one stop paradise for TV stars to settle down in life. The reasons could be many, one of course, the proximity of sets, production houses and then the mushrooming of malls to add to the entertainment quotient. Taking a random headcount of the most prominent TV folks living in Raheja's Palm court complex; we have the likes of Juhi Parmar, Ali Asgar, Hiten Gauri, BAG films Rajesh Chaddha and Saakshi Tanwar. Other areas in the suburb boasts of TV stars like that of Sushmita Mukherjee, Deepak Parashar, Jaya Bhattacharya, Moonmoon, Lataa Sabhrawal, Sumeet Sachdev, Deepshikka, Delnaaz and Rajeev Paul, Karishma Tanna, Gurpreet Singh and the list goes on. That's not it. A little birdie told us that there are three more from the fraternity ready to join the Malad gang. It seems Tarun Khanna, Sandeep Rajora and Kannu Gill have just booked flats in Dheeraj Solitaire at Chincholi Bander and will soon be moving in. Now, with so many actors living in Malad, we're sure they all are bound to bump into each other. So, keeping their professional rivalry at bay, we hope they all start believing in the dictum of `Love thy neighbour as thyself.' Amen...
