The quirky world of television is full of stars, starry mood swings, the rat race for the stellar roles and lots more...
Mihir-Shilpa split
Mihir Mishra (Sanjivani- A Medical Boon) has broken off with long time girlfriend Shilpa Kadam. We do not know the reasons, but we have it on authority that of late, Mihir is a bit pally with Shilpa Shinde, the other Shilpa in Sanjivani. In fact, she is the only person he speaks to! That he is not on talking terms with any member of the cast is an old story. A little bird also tells us that Shilpa Shinde also has a soft corner for the guy. Our avian friend also chirped that Kadam dropped in on the sets one day just to check out the Mishra-Shinde equation! Uh huh...
Ken in Sahara Parivar
If you think that Ken Ghosh is getting ready with only a film after Fida bit the dust, this one is for you. Ghosh is also busy producing a TV serial for Sahara- a daily sitcom which will have 16 principal characters (Ekta, you have competition!), four established actors and 12 newcomers. The serial will see the light of day by end-November or early December.
Cezanne in Cinevistaas
Cinevistaas is planning three shows, one each for Sony, Sahara and Star. Cezanne Khan is most likely going to play a pivotal role in at least one of them. For those interested in knowing if Khan plans to continue in Kasautii..., he says he mostly will. Not so long ago, the actor wanted Ekta to double his income if she wanted him to play a middle-aged man. Seems, things have been sorted out. Guess, the two parties met midway. But you never know!
Ash miffed with Sahara
All is not well between Aishwarya Rai and Sahara, says the grapevine. The ex-Miss World, who is a part of the Sahara family, was in London recently to present an award at the Sahara Sangeet Awards function held at the Royal Albert Hall. Ash was promised two cars for herself and her family members who had accompanied her. But when the appointed hour struck, only one car turned up. The pricey lady refused to budge until the second car showed up. She even refused to proceed to the venue when promised that the other car was on its way. And here's the anticlimax! When the function got over, not one car was in sight!
Rupali dying
Last week, we told you that Sanjivani is not likely to go beyond December. Here is one thing which justifies our breaking news. Next week, the leading vamp will be shot dead by terrorist Milind Gunaji. Surprised? Not us. All good stories come to a messy end. Na rahegi vamp, na rahega serial? Yes. Which serial on Indian television can keep ticking without the leading vamp?
Sweta-Mayuri-Achint team up
Sweta Keswani, Mayuri Kango and Achint Kaur have just returned from Udaipur where they were shooting for adigi film. Tom Alter plays a serial killer, Sweta plays his step-mother while Achint and Mayuri play his girlfriends.
The film will be first screened in Udaipur, followed by screenings at other places.
