Does the name Sunil Grover ring a bell? If your answer is no, take the next question. Have you heard Sud crack his jokes on a radio channel? Chances are, your answer will be in affirmative this time. Sud is no one but Sunil Grover at his very best. The man behind Kaun Banega Champu and Kya Aap Paanchvi Fail Champu Hai? is back on small screen. This time, as an anchor Hans Baliye on Star One. Is this the first time he is hosting a show? Sunil gives a frank answer, "Though I have hosted a couple of shows in the past, this is my first big show as an anchor. When Star One approached me for this I couldn't say no, because the concept of the show is very unique." In the show, off - screen couples (married or otherwise) will share their real life comic and humourous experiences. The couple who gets most appreciated by the live audience and the two judges Karishma Kapoor and David Dhawan will win. Sunil is diplomatic when asked about the couples’ performance, "I am not the judge to test their comic timimg and I believe Karisma and Davidji can do that 100 times better than me. The show has just begun and the competetion is getting tougher". But is it not strange that a talented stand-up comedian like him has never tried his luck with the reality shows? "I have been offered these shows but somehow the dates, and some times, the concept did not suit me. But I did participate in some reality shows as a guest participant," says Sunil. Sunil also cherises the working experience with funny man Gaurav Gera. "We are having an excellent camaradie. I know it is difficult to believe, but back stage we do a lot of analysis on who is the best and who needs to improve," says Sunil. In the coming months, viewers will see Sunil in a television show which, according to him, is a completely new concept. "I have already started shooting for this. And after Ghajini where I had a small role, I am also getting a number of film offers," says the actor who is married to interior designer Aarti.
