It is not important to sweat it out to stay healthy: Nia Sharma

Nia Sharma
Currently on a vacation mode, Nia Sharma, who was last seen as Maanvi one of the protagonists in the Cinevistaas’ Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, in a chat with Tellychakkar.com talks about her fitness mantra and her latest learnt dish Baingan ka Bharta and more. Personal fitness mantra? There is no particular fitness mantra as such that I follow as I do not like sweating it out. On the contrary, I prefer maintaining good eating habits. Personal diet mantra… (Laughs) Actually, I make it a point to not eat junk or other kind of food items that can cause pimples on my face. I have an extremely sensitive skin to take care of. Are you a foodie? If it was not for my skin, I could have been one. Exercise routine… I do not exercise. Are you a vegetarian or a non-vegetarian? I am a pure vegetarian. Favourite cuisine… It has to be Italian, Indian and continental food. Favourite dish… I love eating Hakka noodles. Rajma Chawal is one dish I would choose above any other food. A must on your breakfast table? Since I am not shooting, my morning starts with brunch; I just make it a point that I drink lots of water when I wake up to detoxify myself. Sugar or sugar-free tea/coffee… It doesn’t matter. I would have a small glass of milk to start my day. Lunch generally consists of… I am very choosy in what I eat. These days my mom cooks Kadhi chawal, Rajma Chawal and Dal Chawal amongst other foods. I find roti-sabji is too boring a dish. I am more of a rice eating person. Dinner generally consists of? Depends on my mood. Dessert delights? I do not eat dessert as such but I like eating the Sitaphal ice-cream from Naturals. My favourite drink (non-alcoholic)… Interesting! It would be Kiss on the Lips. My favourite drink (alcoholic)… I do not consume alcohol. Most unusual dish I've tasted? I had this Mexican dish which was overflowing with cheese; so much that one cannot digest. Experiment with food… I unfortunately cannot afford to do that. It causes pimples on my face. On the streets, I love to have… Street food is a complete ‘no-no’ for me. Do you cook? Yes, now that I am not shooting, I have more time in the world to cook. I have inherited the art of cooking and am a professional in this case. I know how to cook almost all dishes and I recently learnt how to cook Baingan Bharta. Fitness tip… I would like to advise people to eat in the right spirit to be healthy. It is not important to sweat it out to stay healthy.
