Money is very important for survival: Divyanka Tripathi

Divyanka Tripathi
With her outstanding performance as a Tamillian girl married to a tough Punjabi Guy, the soft spoken Divyanka Tripathi has been enthralling the audience in Star Plus’ Ye Hai Mohabbatein. The pretty lady, who had once aspired to become an army officer, completed a mountaineering course from the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering in Uttarkashi. But later she transformed herself to be named the beauty of Bhopal and now is an actress of repute in Mumbai. In a talk with Tellychakkar.com, Divyanka talks of some interesting things about her life for our Lifestyle section. How important is money to you? Though family is more important, what goes into running the family is money. So money is very important for survival. Are you an impulsive buyer? Earlier I used to be a very impulsive buyer and used to shop whatever pleased me without thinking twice. But now I am more of a controlled human being. What are the investments that you have made? My biggest investment has been my house. What has been your most expensive purchase? Property rates are soaring in Mumbai. Hence my most expensive purchase would be my home. Do you feel financially secured? Money is something which never satisfies anyone. The more one has the more he or she would want to have it. All I can say at this juncture is that I am planning myself well for a secured future. Who handles your expenses? I and my dad handle my expenses. What was your first salary? My first salary was Rs. 800 which I earned for hosting a show on Akashvani (AIR) when I was in school. How much money do you carry every day? Since I do not splurge anymore, I carry anything between Rs. 500 to 1,000 for emergency. I also carry my debit card. Your advice to new investors? I would advise everyone to watch out the market trends and invest in bond that are currently cheap that can get a higher market value in the later stages. Coming to buying a property, it is important to know what the locality is like and whether all provisions are available there or not. Most importantly, every property one buys should be litigation free.
