With an impressive performance and stylish looks she later bagged many television shows and is much appreciated for her elegance and charm both on-screen and off-screen. While she currently essays Anushka in Star Plus show Saraswatichandra, we get her talking on matters of investment. How important is money to you? I would be very practical when I say money is very important as it defines our way of life. Today, money is not less important than love. Even when people get married they see a person’s financial stability. Are you an impulsive buyer? Yes. I am an impulsive buyer at times. I usually don’t freak out shopping but once in a blue moon I shop a lot. Recently, I purchased clothes and bags worth Rs. 29, 000. What are the investments that you have made? Actually, I have made no investments so far. My parents have invested but not me. What has been your most expensive purchase? A watch by Rado worth Rs. 40,000. Do you feel financially secure? As of now, yes. Who handles your expenses? My mother handles my expenses. What was your first salary? My first salary was Rs. 1000. How much money do you carry every day? I carry merely Rs. 500 in cash when going to the set. When I am out with friends, I carry Rs. 3000 and my debit card. I feel plastic money is safer as it helps you keep a tab on your expenses. Your advice to new investors? It would be best to purchase a property and rent it out. I personally want to practice the same once I have saved enough.
