Get an instant insight into the financial matters of the meticulous Mohit.
How important is money for you?
Where there is no money, there is no happiness, no comfort, and no health. So money is the most important thing in my life. People who don’t say that money is the most important thing in life must have not realised the reality of money. It is not that I am crazy about money but I know the importance of money in today’s world.
Are you an impulsive buyer?
Yes. Whenever I like something, I pick it up immediately at that point of time. I am a shop-a-holic.
What are the investments you have made?
I have made a few investments in mutual funds. I haven’t made many investments as I couldn’t save sufficient amount of money for that.
What is your most expensive purchase?
My car a Suzuki SX4. I bought it for Rs 8.5 lakhs four months ago.
Do you feel financially secure?
No, because I am in an insecure profession. There is a possibility of going bankrupt in my profession. One needs to make savings and investments for the time when you are out of work. Since I have neither made any savings nor I am an actor who would take up any work for the heck of money, I feel financially insecure.
Who handles your expenses?
I handle my expenses. I come from a business background, so I take suggestions from my parents.
What was your first salary? What you did with it?
I earned my first salary when I was in Delhi. I was paid Rs. 3,000 for doing a print ad. I handed over that money to my grand parents as that is the tradition in my family.
How much money do you carry every day?
I am an absolute kangaal(bankrupt). I only carry Rs. 100 with me. I use credit cards and debit cards. I don’t get time to go to the ATM to withdraw money, so I use cards for all my expenses.
Do you invest in the stock market?
No but I may invest in the stock market sometime later in my life.
Any advice for investors?
Don’t be like me. Save your money and be careful when investing. Weigh the pros and cons of the investment that you are making
