With a strong library of evergreen films, MAX 2, has decided to unearth stories that took place during the making of these movies and showcase them in the form of innovative peripheral programming, entitled ‘Lights, Camera, Kissey’. These most sought-after stories have been finalized after extensive research by the channel including discussions with industry stalwarts.

The channel has roped in renowned actor and eminent television personality, Shekhar Suman, as a storyteller for the new show. Shekhar will take viewers on a fascinating journey of Hindi cinema. This connoisseur of Hindi cinema will present viewers with some of the most intriguing stories behind well-known movie hits, undiscovered facts about famous actors and what made them larger than life. A veteran in the industry, Shekhar’s experience and connections has been leveraged to cull out insightful stories for audiences.

This 3-minute show will air before 6 different movie slots during the day and will unveil 3 new stories every week.  The show premiered first on Sony LIV on 3rd October and will be followed by telecast on MAX 2 on 10th October. Through this association Sony LIV will present these fascinating stories to its viewers on their digital devices which they can access anytime, anywhere. Each episode will first be showcased on Sony LIV followed by MAX 2.

Neeraj Vyas, Senior EVP, Sony MAX & Sony MAX 2 said, “Our endeavor at MAX 2 has been to not only present great Hindi cinema to our audiences but also to showcase the unknown details that went into making such films legendary. With ‘Lights, Camera, Kissey’, it is our aim to establish a bond between the movies and the consumers; a bond that is real yet rarely spoken of.”

Udayan Shukla, SVP, Programming, Sony MAX 2, “Story telling is a tool that works well across age groups. The new short format peripheral programming goes beyond showcasing trivia and unearths stories that took place during the making of these iconic films. Indore is a big Hindi speaking market wherein Hindi cinema has always managed to establish that connect with audiences.”

Shekhar Suman on his part said, “The unheard stories of a film make it more memorable and create a holistic movie watching experience. For instance, ‘how Shahrukh Khan escaped death on the sets of Koyla’ or ‘how Sridevi did a comedy scene just a few days after her father's death for the movie Lamhe’ or ‘how a song was composed on the tune of National Anthem for the movie – Pyaasa’…these unspoken factoids rekindle our minds, making movie watching a more emotional experience.”

Tune into these untold stories on MAX 2 with ‘Lights, Camera, Kissey’ starting October 10, 2015, before the start of every movie of the day.
