13th Indian Telly Awards: Vote Now – Best Actor in a Negative Role

Just as vamps provide all the excitement and drama in daily soaps, actors playing negative roles also have a central part in the story line when it comes to adding to the vicious scheme of things. At the 13th Indian Telly Awards, we have a great competition when it comes to actors giving their best to the negative roles offered to them. Here is the list of nominations. Vishwajeet Pradhan as Rudra Pratap Singh (Ek Boond Ishq) Vishwajeet Pradhan has done it all and given his best for the role of Rudra Pratap Singh. Not only has the handsome man shed his physique and donned a feminine avatar for the role of the eunuch, but also manages to wax his entire body to look perfect in the transgender role. Pradhan’s looks, mannerisms, violent outbursts are a visual treat, and a perfect learning curve for every aspiring actor. As Laado, the man continues to wreck terror on the female lead in the show. Manish Wadhwa as Niranjan Agnihotri (Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon - Ek Baar Phir) He’s a tough nut to crack, a spineless man when it comes to his illegal activities and the torture he metes out to his wife. And Manish Wadhwa essays the role of the woman-beater to perfection. Always known to portray one-of-its-kind roles, Wadhwa has once again proved that he is a class-act when it comes to delivering top-notch performances. Praneet Bhatt as Shakuni Mama (Mahabharat) Praneet as Shakuni Mama has managed to re-create history by essaying this epic role. The young lad first of all, went against norms to play a much-elder character. And how beautifully did he portray the role? His fluency in language, evil mannerisms, brilliant acting did take the scene to a higher level. This man is indeed a star of the future!! Arpit Ranka as Duryodhana (Mahabharat) An actor par excellence, Arpit Ranka has risen to the occasion. He has proved his acting credentials as the mighty Duryodhana who matched power to power with the Pandavas. His huge stature will indeed be the perfect foil to lot many flamboyant and challenging roles in the future. Anurag Sharma as Parmeet Khurana (Yeh Hai Mohabbatein) Anurag Sharma as the mean man Parmeet has succeeded in creating problems in the lives of the protagonists. As the money-minded pervert, Anurag has done a great job. The man who is fondly called the ‘mascot’ of Balaji shows has given great performances every time the production house has given him a meaty role to essay. Chetan Hansraj as Aadam Khan (Jodha Akbar) Chetan is a great actor, and he has certainly surpassed all his limitations by essaying this powerful role. His flawless dialogue delivery, power-packed performances have indeed made him a strong contender. Mohit Mallik as Samrat Singh Rathore (Doli Armaanon Ki) Finally, we have the male lead on the show, who is actually a chauvinist. Mohit Malik has done a stupendous job in this role, and has put in great effort to play this very contrast character who is aggressive in attitude and action. Also, this can be easily termed as Mohit’s life-changing character, such is the impact that Samrat has had on the viewers. Who is your personal favourite?
