MUMBAI: Aashish Mehrotra is a well-known personality on television and he has a good fan following. 

These days he is grabbing the headlines for his performance in the television number one show Anupamaa. 

His acting chops are appreciated by the audience as his character is grey and his performance is so good that the fans hate his character but love his performance and that's the sign of a good actor.

TellyChakkar got in touch with the actor and asked him if he was excited to play a grey character and he talked about his bond with Rupali Ganguly.

Are you excited to play a grey character?

I have been playing a grey character since the beginning of the show and now I have become a black character and now it's become darker grey and I am enjoying the process of performing a scene and I think the audience are hating me even more so i am enjoying even more playing the character.

The character of Toshu is very intense, do you feel you carry the character along with you home once the shoot is over?

Toshu is inside me. Everyone has his characteristics and I try to imbibe the characteristic from other people and try to put it in my performance. I am very grateful that I am a part of this show and I am getting to play the character of Toshu.

Tell us something about your bond with Rupali Ganguly?

It's a beautiful bond and our friendship is thick, I don't take her has my mother but she is my very close friend, a close confidant and the performance and character is in one side that is between action and cut and once the shot is over we are back to what we are and we share the same bond, love and affection.

Well, there is no doubt Aashish Mehrotra is loved as Toshu  and has made a place in the audience's heart.
