An actor never retires and I want to act till my last breath: Dhruvee Haldankar

MUMBAI: Actress Dhruvee Haldankar is currently enjoying her time with parents in Delhi. She was last seen in Vighnaharta Ganesha as Surasayee. Speaking about her focus now as an actor Dhruvee says,” I have had the various lead and supporting roles that I was picked to play for the extreme force, degree and strength they offered. Now I wish to play lively, bold, full of spirit, and cheeky roles that emphasize on me being stylish and sophisticated. I feel as an actor, Producers and Directors have not fully utilized or exploited my abilities and character. Their visualization of me to play limited roles stops me from displaying the jaunty me.“ What inspires you as an actor? “I am thrilled each time I see a film made by James Cameron. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Leonardo Dicaprio. They are actors I have grown up watching and learnt a lot. I feel an actor has a lot to give to the craft, an actor never retires and I want to act till my last breath. Honestly, I don't have a backup plan as of now. Acting is my love and passion.”

When asked about her Delhi vacation Dhruvee says,” My parents live in the Delhi NCR and this is the Millennium city that has a lot to offer. I love walking on a mall mile that has malls on both sides of a little more than a kilometer and the exclusive Huda city center having everything under one roof. I am also going to visit the famous Dilli Haat, Khan Market and Bengali market to eat paani poori and shop for ethnic stuff.”

What are the differences you find out between Mumbai and Delhi? “Mumbai is my Karm Bhoomi and where I belong and the main attractions are exuberant beaches. Delhi on the other hand is the fashion hub with wide roads flyovers and bullet trains. It is greener and has dry weather as compared to the humid weather Mumbai has. I love both the cities and each has its own charms.” Dhruvee is single and has all her time for her pet cat Aslaan and she adds,“Aslaan is my companion and I am lucky to have a handful of dear friends to share my life with. They are my nearest and dearest and I love them immensely. A Human companion or partner who can take all my worries away. Someone who is a storyteller, a traveller, and a valuable addition to my life.”
