Richa Soni rose to fame all thanks to her portrayal of Bindiya in Colors’ Bhagyavidhata. Currently, the dusky beauty is seen in a bi-weekly show Pehchaan aired on Doordarshan, where she plays an aspiring photographer. But it looks like her association with India’s pioneer channel will go on for a long time.
Incidentally, Richa has bagged another project on the same channel after Pehchaan. The talented actress will soon be seen in new show, Jamunia on DD.
Tellychakkar.com spoke to Richa, who sounded extremely happy: “It’s a prestigious project for me; we have done outdoor shoots in Kolhapur.” In fact, she is excited to work with the talented team: “Our director Sureshji is a fantastic person to work with. He has assisted Lekh Tandon. It’s an honor for me to work with a talented team.”
Elaborating more on the show and her character she said, “It is Doordarshan’s first ever in house production.” The series is based in North India and focuses on a girl who is boycotted by the society, but in spite of that she fights back. “And in the end, she emerges a winner against all the odds. The show will be aired on Sundays.”
Jamunia is slated to go on air in the month of April.
