MUMBAI: In the wake of the tragic Ahmedabad plane crash, actor Eijaz Khan shared a deeply personal and emotional response that resonated with many. Expressing his grief and disbelief, Eijaz offered not just condolences, but a moment of introspection that many may find comfort in.
“First and foremost, my deepest prayers and heartfelt condolences go out to everyone who lost their lives in the plane crash,” Eijaz said. “I honestly don’t have the words to capture the weight of this tragedy. All I can do is pray that their souls find peace. And I pray for strength and healing for every family member, friend, and loved one who has been left behind.”
The actor admitted that the news left him stunned. “When I heard about it, I just paused—I couldn’t believe it,” he said. “Incidents like these are a stark and painful reminder of how unpredictable life is. Everything can change in seconds.”
Eijaz, who is known for his grounded and honest outlook, reflected on how such tragedies shake the core of our everyday routines and priorities. “We talk a lot about living in the present—but how many of us really do? Even I’m not sure if I do,” he admitted. “Most of the time, we’re just running, chasing goals, worrying about tomorrow. But moments like this make you stop and realise just how precious and fleeting this one moment is.”
He shared that events like these often prompt him to reassess his relationships and approach to life. “I feel the need to hold my loved ones closer. To let go of ego, let go of misunderstandings. Yes, I do have regrets—but I’ve also learned that life isn’t about holding on to them. It’s about learning to live better.”
“If I could change anything, I’d choose more love, more stillness, more truth,” he added.
In closing, Eijaz offered a reminder that’s as sobering as it is necessary: “If there’s any way we can honour those who are no longer with us, it’s by remembering that all we really have is today. Be kind, live fully, love more bravely. We owe that to ourselves—and to each other.”
