Amit Bhatt is a man who has a magical power. What is it? Well, he can bring a smile to your lips. Yes, he is blessed. Through his meticulous and spirited performance as Champak Lal Gada in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (SAB TV, produced by Neela Telefilms)), he has cemented his place amongst the most talented actors of this country. “I have been a part of Taarak… for four years now and it is the only show which has never seen any replacement. I love each and every artist who is a part of it. We eat together, smile together and shoot together. The bond has grown stronger with passing years. There are millions who watch Taarak… and enjoy it,” avers Amit to Tellychakkar.com. This 38 year old actor further shares that the show has a simple concept but it deals with contemporary issues which people can relate to. So how’s your off-screen rapport with Bhavya Gandhi aka Tappu? “It’s wonderful not only with Bhavya but also with Dilip, Disha and the entire cast and crew of the show,” says Amit, who has been participating in theater for more than 15 years and stays in Mumbai with his wife and twin sons. Furthermore, he has received awards for his role Champak Lal. “The real award is the appreciation of the fans. I went to Kutch and Delhi for the outdoor sequences and the love I received from the audience there was overwhelming and heart-warming,” he ends. Amit, you are one helluva actor and continue spreading smiles forever and ever. Not many can do that!!!
