Amit Tandon to set up a children's play center

Singer and actor Amit Tandon is all ready to set up his own business. Currently, Amit is working on an indoor children’s play center that he intends to inaugurate by the end of March or early April 2013. The actor has bought a 4,500 sq. feet area in Andheri, Mumbai where he is planning to locate this play center. When we contacted the actor to know more about his business, he said, “I always wanted to set up a company. But the children’s center plan came up when I realised that there are not many places where our kids can play. I am aware of the fact, because I too have a two-year old daughter. In the afternoon, they can’t play outside due to the heat while there is fear of them getting bitten by mosquitoes in the evening. This is why we will be giving the kids an indoor play center that will be centrally air conditioned.” What are the things that the kids can expect in the play group? “We will have a playground, slides, merry-go-round and more. We will also have different rooms for clay making, book reading, etc. There will also be a party hall for the children. There will be mascots, just like Disneyland has Mickey Mouse,” he answered. “There will also be a cafeteria for the parents coming in with their kids,” he further added. Does this mean that the actor will give up on acting now? “I will continue acting, but big projects will be on hold for a while as I want to give sometime to my business,” he briefed.
