Hum that was to air on DD completed its shoot in December last year but it will go on-air now. Ankit Bathla, last seen in Bhagonwali on Zee, will be playing the lead in this show. As reported earlier, Mona Vasu of Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao, Suhasini Mulay who was last seen in Geet and Sadia Siddiqui who is currently seen in Sasural Genda Phool are also part of it. A source says, “The show starts with Mona Vasu and Ankit coming to the village to meet Mona’s maasi being played by Suhasini who is trying to help the villagers in different ways. She also teaches the village kids. Mona and Ankit are doctors by profession and are engaged and they come to the village to meet Suhasini but looking at the condition of the villagers, Mona plans to stay back and practice in the village. Ankit and Mona’s relationship will suffer because of her decision to stay back as they had plans to go abroad for higher studies and Ankit does not see any future in the village. But, Mona sees the need of the villagers. “On the other hand, Sadia plays a village girl who has lost her husband and Vineet Kumar who is currently doing Lapataganj will be seen as the village mukhiya.” Another source says, “The entire unit has been waiting for the telecast date of the show as we started shooting in October last year and we were done with 26 episodes. We shot for the show in a village in Bihar little away from Patna. The show was to go on-air quite some time back but it got pushed because of the World Cup and now, IPL. It will most probably go on-air in June. We haven’t been shooting since December.” Ankit confirmed his participation in the show and said, “Yes, we haven’t been shooting for quite some time.”
