MUMBAI: Ankita Lokhande played the role of Archana in her debut show Pavitra Rishta which made her a household name. The actress' career started on a high note and since then there has been no looking back.   

Ankita's popularity is rising with every passing day, all thanks to her amazing social media presence. The actress has been extremely active on her Instagram account and keeps sharing all the latest updates.  

Ankita made her big Bollywood debut with Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi which featured Kangana Ranaut in the titular role, but the actress was approached for a film way before that.

Ankita had once revealed that she was considered for a role opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the movie Happy New Year. Yes, you read that right! 

The Pavitra Rishta actress had stated, "I was considered for this role, so it is a good thing. It is unfortunate it couldn't happen. I don't know why things did not work out. I think there is a prejudice against TV actors. I was working on TV, and if I was considered for it, it is a big thing." 

Well, things did not materialise and later Deepika Padukone was cast opposite Shah Rukh.  

We would have loved to see Ankita romancing Shah Rukh in the film!
