Anupama speaks, India listens: The show that redefined television and social media

Anupama

MUMBAI: Rajan Shahi and Deepa Shahi's Anupama, which is produced under their banner Shahi Productions Pvt Ltd, started as a simple show about a woman who has lived a life of compromises and sacrifices until she took on the path to rediscover herself and build her own identity. But little did anyone know that the show would become a movement, a mirror that reflects society beautifully and makes her a phenomenon. Her words, her emotions, and her strength echo louder than the TV screens and have made her a household name.

And not just TV, she is a movement on social media too. Her iconic dialogue "Main ghumu, firu, nachu, gauon..." which took the internet by storm, garnering an unbelievable 60 million reach, 4.3 lakh shares, and 1.1 million engagements, and her recent one, "Kaisa beta hai tu? Nikamma, nakara, nashukra, nasamajh..." has been made into a song by music producer Zaynul Jiwani and has received over 803 thousand likes and 922 thousand shares, along with over 6600 reels being made. These numbers aren’t just statistics; they reflect the depth of connection audiences feel with her journey.

It wouldn't be wrong to call her a trendsetter with such dialogues, as everyone from young creators to working women, homemakers, and even celebrities joined Anupama and made reels on these iconic dialogues, which have been written by Divy Nidhi Sharma and Aparajita. Be it for fun or just to reflect their own emotions, they did, and that's proof that when Anupama speaks, she doesn’t just deliver lines; she gives voice to millions who see their own struggles, hopes, and triumphs in her story.
Rajan Shahi says, "Anupama  has connected with audiences at the core level. It's s a continuous  team effort to keep the audiences intrigued about  the show. Every actor is working hard. Rupali's hard work is visible and writers are doing amazing work too"
Anupama continues to rule as the most watched and most loved show on JioHotstar as well, proving that the show is not specific to one gender or age group, but she connects with everyone and builds an emotional relationship with them. Each dialogue resonates, and every expression captures hearts, because she speaks a language everyone understands: true emotion. And while doing so, she continues to inspire millions, reminding them that it's never too late to rediscover themselves or start over.
