Ashish Sharma is a fitness freak

Ashish Sharma is a known name in the world of television now, thanks to his impressive portrayal of Chandragupta Maurya. Now, there was much hue and cry in the media when Imagine went off air suddenly, bringing abrupt closure to all its shows, including Ashish’s Chandragupta Maurya. But then there was a buzz of it returning on Sony Entertainment Television. However, Ashish went on to declare that he has decided to opt out of Maurya and even if the serial returns on screen he won’t be seen as the lead. He has moved on and he will be seen in Jay Mehta’s next Tera Ishq Nachaye on Zee TV. So how’s life after Chandragupta Maurya? “Life has been good. I am busy with my production house, Smoking Caroot Filum Compani and I produced two short films under the banner. Many were wondering why I quit Maurya. Well, the reason is that I did not really know when the show would come back on TV,” shares Ashish with Tellychakkar.com. He continues, “I was definitely shocked with the news of Imagine TV shutting down. One fine day so many people became jobless. However, I was glad to see the support of the fans who want the show to come back. But I couldn’t wait any longer and decided to opt for another serial.” Ashish also tells that he is a workaholic by nature and a fitness freak. “Since my childhood days I have been very active and sporty as a person. I don’t get much time to work out so I swim and cycle to keep myself fit,” he ends.
