MUMBAI: The Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) has released its latest weekly TRP report, revealing fascinating shifts in television viewership across India.

The fresh rankings showcase a mix of stability, resurgence, and surprising downturns — a true reflection of the ever-evolving pulse of Indian audiences.

Leading the charge yet again is Star Plus’ Anupamaa, which continues to reign supreme at the top of the charts. Following closely behind are Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Udne Ki Aasha – Sapno Ka Safar, both of which have maintained impressive consistency in their performance.

Meanwhile, reality television is enjoying a remarkable upswing as Bigg Boss and Pati Patni Aur Panga record significant surges in ratings, reaffirming their mass appeal and entertainment value.

On the flip side, popular dramas such as Jhanak, Aarti Anjali Awasthi, and Shiv Shakti: Tap Tyaag Tandav have witnessed a noticeable dip, suggesting that their storylines may be losing steam with audiences in recent weeks.

However, not all is gloomy — Vasudha – Tumm Se Tumm Tak has seen a sharp rise in its ratings, steadily climbing the charts and winning over viewers with its engaging narrative.

In the current standings, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Udne Ki Aasha – Sapno Ka Safar, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, and Udne Ki Aasha secure the second, third, fourth, and fifth positions respectively, solidifying their place among television’s most-watched shows of the week.

Overall, this week’s TRP ratings paint a vivid picture of India’s vibrant television scene — where established favourites continue to shine, new contenders make their mark, and the competition for prime-time dominance remains as fierce as ever.
