MUMBAI: After it took leap of five years this year, Choti Sarrdaarni is all set for another leap of 20 years. The makers are busy scouting for new faces to join the cast. Shehzada Dhami, who was last seen in Yehh Jaadu Hai Jinn Ka, will play the grown-up Param Singh Gill. The role is currently being portrayed by Aekam Binjwe.
A portal reports, “The show will soon go in for the 20-year time leap and the new artistes will be joining the principal cast members on the shoot. Shehzada
has been signed to play the grown-up Param, as he fits the bill perfectly.”
The serial was in the news recently after Nimrit had to take a break from it owing to various health issues. The production house had then roped in Kratika Sengar to fill in. Nimrit resumed the shoot almost a month later. The actress had then shared, “Working in a daily soap can be quite demanding with everyone jostling to meet deadlines. Maybe, the work pressure that usually entails our profession got to me physically. I was not feeling like myself for a few months. It started with me feeling tired followed by high BP, anxiety and hot flashes during the shoot. When I consulted my doctors, they told me that I was going through hormonal imbalances, which was mostly stress-related and the kind of lifestyle I was leading. I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue and burnout. I was advised to take a break from work, so, I decided to take some time off, return home, recover and bounce back.”
