MUMBAI: Bigg Boss 19 recently concluded one of the most anticipated weeks of the season — the family week. Contestants met their family members and received immense motivation from them. The last family member to enter the Bigg Boss 19 house was Indian cricketer Deepak Chahar, brother of Malti Chahar.
Deepak was calm yet firm as he took strong stands for his sister and made others reflect on their actions. He asked Amaal Mallik to check the episodes after his exit and let him know if Malti had ever spoken anything negative about him. Deepak also confronted Kunicka Sadanand for commenting on Malti’s sexuality.
For the uninitiated, Kunicka had told Tanya Mittal that she felt Malti was a lesbian. Addressing the incident, Deepak explained to Kunicka that attaching such labels to unmarried individuals can affect their future prospects, as people may assume such statements to be true.
Kunicka tried to defend herself by stating that she was not homophobic, but the co-contestants and Deepak pointed out that she was drifting away from the core issue. Eventually, the Hum Saath Saath Hain actress realised her mistake and apologised to both Malti and Deepak.
In a casual manner, Deepak also mentioned Shehbaz questioning Malti and her family’s credibility. Furthermore, he advised Malti not to walk away from conversations and to complete her arguments before stepping away from any controversial discussion.
