MUMBAI: In the latest Weekend Ka Vaar, Salman Khan addressed the nominations fiasco, asking the housemates who they thought was at fault in the entire situation. He stated that this rule break was different from others because, in previous instances, contestants had apologised and stopped once warned — but this time, the defiance continued.
Salman said, “What Ashnoor and Abhishek did was open defiance. Even after three warnings, you both continued — it just showed arrogance. You took it lightly, as if it were comedy. Why did you think it would be taken lightly?”
He further asked, “What was the conversation where you said, ‘ab toh baat ho gayi’? Do you even remember what that conversation was?” To this, Abhishek and Ashnoor said they didn’t remember. Salman then asked, “Was it about your ex-wife?” to which Abhishek clarified, “That was not the case.” Salman responded, “That’s anyway an old chapter, but the bottom line is, because of your fault, someone will now get nominated from the house.”
Salman continued, “You were earlier responsible for Nagma’s elimination, and now someone else will go because of you. Why would they not be scared of nominations? Don’t talk about being scared, when Tanya and Farhana asked you a personal question, you didn’t answer but instead went and complained to Ashnoor and let her fight for you.”
Ashnoor defended him, saying, “He was just sharing. I’m a little protective of my friends that way.” Salman replied, “I understand that you did that out of friendship, but Abhishek going in and complaining like that looked very different.”
Turning to Gaurav and Pranit, Salman said, “You both were supporting your friend, but he didn’t even realise the importance of staying quiet in such a critical situation. Do you think you made the wrong choice?” Gaurav responded, “As a friend, I will always stand by my friends, but objectively, Abhishek was wrong.”
Salman concluded by reminding them, “Gaurav and Pranit, your group shows favouritism, but this show is also about individuality. Your individuality is getting dissolved. You’re part of a group where your members’ impulsiveness and immaturity can cost you heavily.”
