Bigg Boss Malayalam

MUMBAI: The seventh season of Bigg Boss Malayalam, masterfully hosted by the legendary actor Mohanlal, has achieved an unprecedented milestone, cementing its status as a massive success.

The grand finale episode, which crowned soap opera actress Anumol RS as the winner, delivered historic television viewership, topping the Television Viewership Rating (TVR) charts across all regional versions of the reality franchise in India.

The season concluded its 99-episode run on November 9, 2025, after an action-packed journey that began in early August.

According to industry reports released a week after the broadcast, the finale scored a monumental 22 TVR.

This figure not only made it the most successful season in the history of the Malayalam edition of Bigg Boss but also gave it the top spot among all regional adaptations, including the Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada versions.

The show reportedly garnered a staggering 6.2 billion social media impressions throughout its run, demonstrating its immense popularity outside of television as well.

This performance surpassed the previous record held by Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 6. Moreover, the entire Season 7 maintained a robust overall average of 12.5 TVR, further establishing its dominance.

The success comes despite challenges, as reports suggest the TVR could have been even higher had the winner's name not been leaked prematurely by crew members ahead of the official broadcast.

Nevertheless, the Mohanlal-hosted show proved to be a powerhouse, consistently attracting an exceptionally large and devoted audience.

The season featured a total of 25 contestants and was highly praised for its engaging theme, “The risk of 7”.

The finale saw Anumol RS lift the trophy, securing the win over first runner-up Aneesh TA, a commoner contestant who also made history by reaching the finale. The winner walked away with a prize money of Rs 42,55,210 (approximately Rs 42.55 lakh).
