MUMBAI: Sana Makbul has received an enormous number of calls and messages after winning ‘Bigg Boss OTT 3.’ The actor recently discussed her experience on the show and how few people knew her before she appeared in 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' in an interview with a well-known news portal. She added that she didn't care that a lot of people disliked her for openly discussing her desire to win the show.
According to Sana, 'Bigg Boss' contestants frequently gain advantages from their social media fan base. She claimed that despite her lack of wealth, she was confident in her ability to win people over with a strong will.
"My name to fame has been 'Khatron Ke Khiladi'. Nobody knew me before that. I know my reality, and I am not ashamed to accept it. I hardly had 300K followers on Instagram. It was after I was spotted at the airport with the team that my numbers shot up."
Sand explained that she put her heart and soul into the adventure reality show, hosted by Rohit Shetty. "I would credit myself here, as I proved myself and did well in the stunts. I used to think of myself as a fragile person, but I was amazed by my strength. I won all the stunts that I did. However, I never had the passion to win the show; all I wanted was to ace my stunts," she said.
Sana went on to describe her 'Bigg Boss' journey. She mentioned that she was dealing with a few health issues when the offer to participate initially came to her. "Soon after, I was offered 'Bigg Boss', but I was going through some health issues. I started focussing on myself. That's when I also realised the importance of self-love. I wasn't mentally prepared to do 'Bigg Boss', but when the offer came this time, I had an internal fight because I wanted to prove myself."
The actor has appeared in TV shows including 'Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon,' stated that even if she didn't win the competition, she still wanted to win the public over with her appearance.
"All my friends told me that when you enter the house, it should be like the queen has arrived. I did want to leave that image, I wanted to win the show, and if that wasn't happening, I did want people to remember me in high regard. I wanted people to know me and BB was that door to cross that audience. I have wanted this attention, this fame. People may have questioned my desire, but I wanted to win the show, to shine bright," she added.
When asked how it feels to have finally achieved what she originally set out to, she smiled and said, "But, I am still on ground zero. I have seen the highs and lows in life and I understand how important it is to keep a steady head on your shoulder. Also, jo mazza zameen pe reh ke aata hai na, woh mazaa udne mein nahi hai [it's more fun to be grounded than to walk around in the clouds]. I am grateful that so many people loved me for who I am. Since there was so much negativity inside, and I was cornered throughout, I had developed a lot of self-doubt. It feels great to see people showering me with so much love."
After winning 'Bigg Boss OTT' Season 3, Sana Makbul has not disclosed any new projects. The star is spending quality time with her loved ones and friends.
