MUMBAI: The lockdown has taken a toll on everybody.

The coronavirus pandemic has resulted in the world coming to a standstill. Every country has been following the lockdown rules and are home quarantined trying their best to avoid getting caught with the virus.

2020 has been a year which has brought nothing but a major disappointment. The virus, cyclone, news of the asteroid moving towards earth, everything is nothing short of scary. And this year has witnessed the loss of some incredible people from the entertainment industry. Today, we list down the loss we mourned in the industry this year already!

Irfan Khan passed away combating a tumour

Rishi Kapoor died fighting cancer

The industry mourned the loss of Wajid Khan. He had a successful kidney transplant last year and he was undergoing treatment for throat infection. He tested positive for coronavirus and died due to cardiac arrest.

Filmmaker-screenwriter Basu Chatterjee, best known for directing films like Choti Si Baat, Rajnigandha, Baaton Baaton Mein and Ek Ruka Hua Faisla among more, passed away due to age-related ailments. He was 93.

Crime Patrol actress Preksha Mehta has committed suicide. She was 25.

Yesteryear actress Nimmi passed away at her residence. She was 88 and had been ailing for a while.
