MUMBAI: Indian television shows have been a part of the audience's daily lives for a long time now. Over time, the type and platform of content has changed a lot but people still wish to go back to television dramas and call it their comfort zone.

There have been shows that have been loved, and there are actors who have been highly loved over the years. They have been part of some of the most popular projects but have not been seen lately.

Here are the top 5 actresses who have done major work but haven’t been seen recently:

Sanaya Irani

Sanaya Irani is known for playing Gunjan in Miley Jab Hum Tum, Khushi in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? and Parvati in Rangrasiya. In 2015, she participated in the eighth season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and emerged as the first runner up. She later participated in Nach Baliye in 2017 with her husband Mohit Sehgal and finished third place. She has been a part of major shows and is highly loved. But she has not been seen lately in any project and the fans sure miss her.

Shweta Gulati

Shweta Gulati is an Indian television actress best known for playing the role of Tia Ahuja in Remix, and Dr. Nikita Malhotra in Dill Mill Gayye. She has been a part of various popular shows over the years. Her last appearance was in 2017's Sab TV serial Partners Trouble Ho Gayi Double as Dolly.

Returning after two years, Gulati portrayed Janvi Rajeev Bansal in SAB TV's Tera Yaar Hoon Main, but her character dies after meeting with an accident, which marked her exit from the show. She has not been seen since and the fans await her presence back on the screen.

Surbhi Jyoti

Surbhi Jyoti made her acting debut with Akiyaan To Door Jayen Na as Sona, in 2010. She rose to fame after her portrayal of Zoya Farooqui in Zee TV's Qubool Hai. Jyoti got wider attention after portraying the shape-shifting serpent Bela Sehgal in Colors TV's popular supernatural Naagin 3. In 2021, She made her comeback in the digital space with the web series Qubool Hai 2.0, which is a reboot version of her popular Zee TV show Qubool Hai, alongside actor Karan Singh Grover, which marked their second collaboration after 8 years, reprising their roles as Zoya and Asad respectively. Post that, she was only seen in a couple of music videos and the fans are waiting to see her again in a show.

Sanjeeda Sheikh

She made her acting debut as Nimmo in the 2005 TV series Kyaa Hoga Nimmo Kaa. After that, she appeared as a vamp in the 2007 Star Plus series Kayamath. In the same year, she participated in a dancing competition show named Nach Baliye 3, with husband Aamir Ali and won the competition. In 2014, Sheikh appeared as Durga Thakur in Ek Hasina Thi. In 2017, Sheikh appeared in Love Ka Hai Intezaar. She has not been seen much post that and the audience sure awaits her comeback.

Shweta Salve

Shweta was one of the main actors in Hip Hip Hurray, a television serial on Zee TV between 1998 and 2001. She acted in TV serials like Lipstick and Saarrkar, but she rose to fame for her role as Dr. Ritu Mishra in Left Right Left on SAB TV. She made her feature film debut with Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi (1999). She has also been a part of various reality TV shows. But she isn’t to be seen anywhere lately. She is a great performer and the audience wish to see her return to television.
