TellyChakkar had earlier reported the probability of Choti Bahu going off air, however there were rumours the show had got an extension of six months. The latest is Zee has decided to give a logical end to the show. It will go off air on September 17 only to be replaced by Rajita Sharma’s Ram Milaayi Jodi. According to a source from the channel, “The show was to get an extension but the channel has decided to pull it off. Initially, the show did work very well for the channel but later saw a dip in the TRPs. The show will go off on September 17 and Ram Milaayi Jodi will replace it in the 7.30 pm slot. Choti Bahu though has brought in a new track and the promos are on as well but the audiences will get to see a happy ending for the show.” We called up Avinash Sachdev, who plays Dev and he confirmed the news. Sachdev says, “The cast and crew has been informed officially about the show going off air.” We tried getting in touch with Rajita Sharma, but she remained unavailable for comment.
