Readers, Colors Bangla is all set to launch a new serial titled Dashi.
Based on the play ‘Kamla’ by Vijay Tendulkar, the story narrates the journey of a journalist, Rajdeep, who exposes a scandal surrounding human trafficking. He buys a girl named Mungli from the human market, hosts a press conference on the day of his wedding with Tanaya and exposes the reality to the world. Later, he decides to give Mungli refuge in his own house as she has nowhere to go.
How the three protagonists’ lives get intertwined by fate and the difficult choices they make is for the viewers to find out by watching the serial.
Directed by Amit Sengupta, it stars actors Ishaan Mazumder as Rajdeep, Taniya as Tanaya and Shyamopoli as Mungli.
Ishanni Joardar, Programming Head, Colors Bangla, said, “Dashi will unearth the intricacies of human emotions and convolution of circumstances between the characters in the show.”
“Regardless of the backdrop and generation gap, viewers can relate to the situations with the dilemmas faced in their personal lives,” she added.
