MUMBAI: It was only recently that we reported that Star Bharat’s upcoming show Lakshmi Ghar Aayi was slated to go on-air mid-April, however, due to the lockdown, the show did not hit the screens. The show is now slated to launch on 5th July.
Produced by Shakuntalam Telefilms, the show will feature the talented Ashish Kaul, Ananya Khare, Akshit Sukhija and Simran Pareenja in pivotal roles. The show will revolve around an intriguing story of Maithali, essayed by Simran, who becomes a victim of the dowry system.
Yesterday, we got our hands on the cast joining the much spoken about project. Actress Anushka Merchande will be seen as a part of the show. She is known for her stint in Bombay Begums. Joining her will also be actress Diksha Dhami who is quite spoken about for her stint in Star Plus’ popular show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Well, we now have information that actors Jay Vijay Sachan and Mayank Nishchal have been brought on board for the show.
Jay is India’s Got Talent fame while Mayank has been a part of Kesari Nandan playing the popular role of Jawahar.
Lakshmi Ghar Aayi focuses on how a girl child is never a liability. How she becomes an inspirational champion of the anti-dowry movement is something the viewers need to watch out for. These days, the concept of dowry in modern cities might be ridiculed but yet there are many families which actually say that they would want the bride to come in her ‘ek joda kapda’ but they actually do not mean it. They expect something materialistic in return. Lakshmi Ghar Aayi focuses on a situation where the girl gets married and enters the house with nothing but love to offer and her tough mother-in-law is disappointed about the same. She cribs about it and plans to make her life miserable. It will be interesting to see how the newly wed daughter-in-law tackles situations with ease and makes her place in the house.
